Cameroon-UK Diaspora Network

Engineering a bridge between the UK and Cameroon

CAMNEST-UK unites Cameroonian engineers, scientists and technologists across the United Kingdom to share expertise, mentor the next generation and deliver practical engineering projects that transform communities back home.

Who We Are

A professional network with a development mission

The Cameroon-UK Diaspora Network of Engineering, Science and Technology (CAMNEST-UK) is a London-based, not-for-profit membership organisation. We bring together chartered engineers, researchers, IT professionals, academics and STEM students of Cameroonian heritage living and working in the United Kingdom.

Our members believe that the skills the diaspora acquires abroad are a national asset. Through structured knowledge transfer, professional mentorship and hands-on pilot projects, we channel that expertise into measurable progress for Cameroon's engineering capacity — while strengthening the careers and community of our members in the UK.

  • Independent, volunteer-led and member-governed since 2018
  • Partnerships with UK universities, professional bodies and Cameroonian institutions
  • Open to students, professionals and corporate supporters

Every CAMNEST-UK programme is designed and delivered by member volunteers, with clear outcomes on both sides of the bridge.

Workshops & Seminars

Monthly technical workshops, career seminars and an annual symposium where members and guest experts share applied knowledge in engineering, science and emerging technology.

Pilot Engineering Schemes

Small-scale, high-impact engineering projects in Cameroon — solar micro-grids, water systems, workshop retrofits — scoped, supervised and evaluated by diaspora engineers.

Cloud Learning Platforms

Cloud-hosted virtual labs, recorded courseware and remote computing environments that give Cameroonian students and lecturers access to industry-grade engineering tools.
